December 23, 2008, The New Jersey Law Journal
The New Jersey State Bar Association announced Monday that its Nominating Committee has selected Paris Eliades, a Sussex County family lawyer, to serve as secretary of the association in 2009, putting him on the ladder to the presidency in 2014. Eliades, 48, a partner at Courter, Kobert & Cohen in Sparta and a former assistant Sussex County prosecutor, has been a Bar trustee since 2005 and served an earlier term from 1997 to 2003. He is also a Sussex County representative to the Bar's Judicial and Prosecutorial Appointments Committee and the Bar's representative on the Supreme Court's Disciplinary Oversight Committee. Barring a successul challenge to his election, Eliades will take office in May along with the Bar's other officers and trustees.
