Michael Selvaggi concentrates his practice in zoning and land use law and appears regularly before zoning and planning boards throughout New Jersey.
His expertise is sought in all aspects of the development process, from contract negotiations, navigating through the regulatory process and appearing in Court to litigate land use issues.
Mr. Selvaggi also represents various business entities in their formations, acquisitions, sales, and mergers. He works closely with corporations, limited liability companies, nonprofit agencies, and partnerships to provide advice on a wide array of legal issues.
Mr. Selvaggi’s practice includes educational law, and he represents a number of boards of education in northwest New Jersey. He counsels these boards on a myriad of issues, negotiates collective bargaining agreements and appears in Administrative Court with respect to special education matters. Mr. Selvaggi also engages in commercial and civil litigation, most frequently on behalf of insurance companies who defend municipalities and boards of education throughout the state.
When not practicing law, Mr. Selvaggi devotes a substantial amount of time to a variety of legal and civic activities. He has served as President of
the Warren County Regional Chamber of Commerce and is the Warren County Trustee to the New Jersey State Bar Association. Mr. Selvaggi is the co-chair for the State Bar
Association’s Judicial Administration Committee. He is a member of the Board of Directors for The ARC of Warren County and Abilities of Northwest Jersey.
